Yet another great night at the One Take Sessions which featured four acts - DJ Glendon (Kilkenny), Jimi Cullen (Wexford), Brian McNamara (Waterford), Nick Campus & Frank O’Connor (Kilkenny). I (Ken) disappeared for the bulk of the night but the lads run a tight ship and the night (from what I’m told) couldn’t have gone any smoother.
Half the KKM team are off to Amsterdam at the weekend so it will be Ross and Daw on the mic for the podcast - don’t get carried away lads - which will be recorded Monday night and hopefully online Tuesday night. We all came away with copies of Jimi Cullen’s album ‘When The Last Leaf Falls’ and we’ll be bringing a track or two from it over the coming podcasts (now that we’ve got some kind of schedule back in order) who put on a terrific set along with everyone else.
Hopefully we can sneak Nick and Frank’s final song of the night onto the podcast - give it a listen next week and you’ll see why. All in all, a great night, looking forward to the sole night in April and two in May, keep an eye right here for all the details and thanks again to all the lads. Continued success too to Jimi Cullen on his hectic touring schedule to plug the album.

Bill Coleman is going to be busy rocking the vote (Rock The Vote tour) the week of April 19th so he’s rescheduled his appearance at the One Take Sessions for the following sessions on Thursday May 10th alongside Eamon O’Connor, Michael Whelan and Gordon Barry.
Thanks to Bill, KilkennyMusic.com has a new word of the day as well - ‘Interfrastically’.
Excellent stuff.

Hot off the press (mobile) and straight to the web, Waiting To Explode have rescheduled their original March 8th One Take Sessions date and will be appearing on May 31st instead. The lads were due to play on March 8th (the Sessions just gone) but had to pull out due to unforeseen circumstances.
This means that you’ll be able to catch the band TWICE in May as they also play Cleere’s with KilkennyMusic.com on May 12th before taking to the stage in iD on May 31st.

My thanks (and apologies for delays) to the fantastic Jack O’Leary, Ross Kearley with Alison and Jamie, James Russell, Gerard Hough et al of Pacifix and Tom and the lads of Inconclusive for what was another great (albeit late) night of music.
Acts coming up on the 29th include Jimi Cullen, Brian McNamara and The Aftermath. Once the gallery gets restored on KilkennyMusic.com we’ll have shots from tonight, along with all the other One Take Sessions nights. Don’t forget that the Sessions will be available on iTunes and SoundSystemPodcast.com from early next week.
